I have to take a moment to rave about my handyman. I love that Dave is not afraid to take things apart and try to fix them. In the last couple weeks our brakes on the van needed to be replaced, our computer power source and dvd player were fried, and yesterday our dryer started making a horrible screeching sound. So Dave saved us a ton of money by replacing the brakes, buying and installing the new power source and dvd player for the computer, and last night he took the dryer apart and discovered a pencil had worked its way into the back by the fan. I am not saying fixing everything himself has always gone right (timing belt gone wrong) but he's not afraid to try. Instead of paying $100 to have someone come out and tell me I had a pencil in my dryer I just had to give him a pat on the back and a kiss of appreciation. I love you babe!

Las Palomas Resort

Rocky Point, Mexico
Our trip started out with a trip to the local aquarium. Can you say Ghetto? It was a bunch of fish tanks with various ocean life with the names written on them with marker. It smelled horrible. We did get to feed a sea lion and some sea turtles though so the kids enjoyed it.

Ren had fun with Dave on the Jet Ski. He got to do the driving and did very well in a vast and deserted ocean. We'll see how he handles the road in a few months.
The beach and the tide pools were a big hit with the kids. The shell population saw a dramatic drop when my kids were done. The water was beautiful and warm.Savannah got a taste of the culture. Here she is with a girl the same age as her that can't afford to go to school so she spends her days walking the beach selling her mothers art. We are blessed to be in the United States.
