The Nutcracker

We had a girls night and went to see The Nutcracker. I was surprised to see how beautiful the costumes and backdrops were. Pretty good for little Sierra Vista. The ballet was very good as well. I was surprised how many older men they found to wear tights and dance around.
Here was the main line-up: Lorri, Avery, Emma, Madison, Lexi, and Alish.

Katie and Savannah decided they were old enough to sit by themselves.
It was a fun night and the girls all seemed to enjoy the ballet. I just love my girls and the times like these we get to spend together.

Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy has been a frequent visitor at our house because of the plethora of lost teeth. Jackson lost his first two teeth in the same night a few weeks ago. I've just been a little slow to blog the occasion.

Jordan has lost 4 teeth including this one that needed a little persuading. It wasn't wanting to come out and Jordan needed a little extra money for Christmas shopping so he let Dad pull it. Tooth Fairies around here pay a GOLD dollar per tooth. Of our 5 children, Jordan is the only one that would ever have sat still for this.

Friends

Don't you just love good friends. I was chatting with my friend Heather tonight and she just made me smile. She is clear across the country yet she is dealing with the same daily trials I am. We can talk like we've never been apart and make each other smile and laugh at ourselves and our petty worries. This is a favorite picture of mine. It's not a very flattering one for me and my slouch but it was the happiest reunion with Heather. We hadn't seen each other in about 8 years and we both had families now but getting together was like going back in time. We stayed at her mom's house and had a sleep over in her old room. My dad even drove me there. A friend that has known you that long and still likes you is the best thing in the world.
