Jack came home from school the other day so excited. He had talked about space and walking on the moon in class then they all made space suits. Here's my little astronaut. He had a lot of fun riding in his homemade spaceship. It turns out the moon really is made of cheese.
While I'm on the subject of Jack I have to write about his struggle to be good. He has a behavior chart at school that's a 1-5 scale. 1 gets him sent to the principal and 5 is good. We've taken to averaging out Jack's scores because on average he gets 1-2 very low scores in a week and then he'll get a score like 7 which means he did above and beyond good behavior. The other day he came home with a 0. That's right, off the charts naughty. Every morning Dave and I send him to school with a "Get a 5 today" and everyday he says, "I'll try" in a very non-committal way. He doesn't want to make promises he can't keep. Some days he comes home and says "guess what mom I got a 5 today" and other days he says, "I got a 2 today. I tried but I just couldn't be good." Sometimes being a little boy is so tough. Your the best for trying Jack. We love you!!!

Poor kid ... What on earth did he do to get a zero? Cant be any worse than the kid who pushed Tae off the top of the playground. He has way too much of Daves fun energy in him. You were a good kid, I dont think its too fair you have to mother a little Dave. That should be his responsibility! : )
He threw a water bottle at a little boy. He said he was trying to be cool. Not so cool. I owe my wild boys to the mother's curse. His mother swore he would get one just like him one day. If he turns out like his dad though I think I can handle the grief.
Yup. That mother's curse'll getcha every time. Just keep him out of the knives drawer and away from the circus and hopefully he won't get too many ideas.
This is one instance when I like boys. Girls get all catty and mean when they try to be cool -- boys just get physical or destructive. I've got the mothers curse too but its Aliya. My mom swears she's just like me. She's a cute little turd but man ...
Hey, I just found your blog today--through the Wilcox's. I feel like I've just discovered a long lost friend. It looks like everything is going great in the Vista. I can't believe how old everyone looks--I'm talking about the kids, of course. Is Ren really a teenager? He looks like he's the tallest in the family. The girls are beautiful. I can't believe Jackson is in school and is Jordan really getting baptized this year??? It's so good to "see" all of you!
Love the new back drops! You need to update. Jack is a darling astronaut but I want something new!
